Ellie Falaris Ganelin is a versatile marketing and communications professional with experience in publications, media relations, social media, graphic design, multimedia, and branding. She has worked in the performing arts, the health sector, as well as in the startup world.
Ellie has executed successful publicity campaigns for Kerrytown Concert House and startup company Saagara LLC, both located in Ann Arbor, Mich. She has also done marketing and development for a chapter of Opera on Tap, a group that brings opera and classical music out of the concert hall and into alternative venues. At the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, Ellie managed updates to a 300+ page 'survival guide' on a complex, chronic disease explained in easy-to-understand terms. She most recently managed the marketing efforts for contemporary ballet company Smuin, promoting 60+ performances a year across the San Francisco Bay Area.
An accomplished flutist, Ellie is the founder of the Greek Chamber Music Project, performing and promoting the music of contemporary composers from Greece and the diaspora. She is an active performer with the Awesöme Orchestra, making orchestras fun and adventuresome for all.
Ellie is lives with her husband Ilya and their young daughter Mia in the Bay Area. Together, they enjoy cooking, traveling, camping, and cheap race cars.
