Smuin is a contemporary ballet company in San Francisco, where I was their in-house marketing person. While I was there, I took on a much-needed refresh of their website. My goal was to create a site that was effective, exciting, and engaging for both future and current Smuin fans. I worked with a pair of WordPress developers to customize an already stunning template to suit the company's needs.
Dance is a very visual medium, and so large-scale action photos were key to telling the Smuin story. But it also had to be highly functional: the final result is a mobile-friendly site that effectively converts visitors into ticket-buyers and donors. Links to donate, order tickets, and sign up for updates are easy to find throughout the site. Original content like blog posts and videos are also prominently featured.
